08 Oct 2007 - General Electric donated VND 1 billion to support the families of victims of last month’s Can Tho Bridge collapse on Monday.
"From the bottom of our hearts, we hope this contribution will help the relief efforts for relatives of the victims of the Can Tho Bridge accident." said Ms. Nguyen My Lan, President of GE Vietnam. The $62,500 donation was given to local Vinh Long Province authorities for disbursement.
General Electric is the world’s second largest company in terms of market capitalization.
