18 Oct 2007 - Dat Mui magazine is organizing a beauty contest for young Vietnamese women in the country’s south.
The first “Miss Dat Mui”, as the pageant is called, is for southern women aged 18 to 27 who measure at least 160 centimeters from tip to toe. They must be single and childless, and have a high school education at least.
Dat Mui, which means “southernmost tip”, is another name for Ca Mau, the southernmost province of Viet Nam.
To enter the contest or simply find out more, contact Dat Mui magazine at 57AB Phan Dinh Phung Street in Ca Mau City.
Also on the prowl for good lookers, Can Tho Television and the Cat Tien Sa Media and Television Company are holding the 2007 Miss Tay Do contest for Vietnamese women who reside in the Mekong Delta, the southeast region or Ho Chi Minh City.
The criteria for entry are the same as for the Miss Dat Mui contest.
Entries should arrive by October 26 at the Can Tho Television Station or the Cat Tien Sa Media and Television Company, 5B Nguyen Dinh Chieu Street, District 1, HCMC.
